Gilles Boeuf werd geboren in Boulogne-Billancourt (Frankrijk) als zoon van een Frans-Russische vader en een Nederlandse moeder. Over zijn familie schreef hij samen met zijn zus, Marie Boeuf, het kinderboek De laatste prins.

Sinds zijn debuut als dichter in 1998 bij uitgeverij Perdu met Gedichten publiceerde hij de bundel In het groene licht bij Meulenhoff, gevolgd door twee bundels bij De Contrabas. In januari 2020 verscheen zijn nieuwste werk Generaties bij uitgeverij nY. Voor de Stichting Eenzame Uitvaart schrijft hij gedichten voor overledenen zonder nabestaanden.

Zijn fotografisch werk verscheen in een boek over Franse kunstenaars in Nederland. December 2021 verscheen zijn boek PLACE: fotografie en poëzie en collages.

Gilles woont en werkt in Den Haag.

Gilles Boeuf was born in Boulogne-Billancourt (France) , son of a French-Russian father and a Dutch mother. Together with his sister, Marie Boeuf, he wrote a children's book on his family: The last prince.

Since his debut as a poet in 1998 at publishing house Perdu with Poems he published the collection In the green light at Meulenhoff , followed by two collections at the Contrabas. His newest book Generations appeared in January 2020.For the Foundation Lonely Funeral he writes poems for the dead without relatives.

His photographic work was published in a book about French artists in the Netherlands. December 2021 his self-published photobook PLACE appeared.

Gilles lives and works in The Hague.
